Where I’ve Been: A List

I spend a lot of my time visiting and working abroad.  I have always been interested in other cultures and how people in other parts of the world relate to each other and to the earth.  Once I started teaching, I became very interested in multi-cultural negotiations.  I have now worked or traveled to almost 60 countries. Here are some of the places I’ve visited or worked:

North America

  • Mexico (often)

  • Canada (including winter ski season at Fernie, working with Bombardier aerospace)

  • Alaska (kayaking and climbing)

  • I’ve spoken in over 50 cities in the U.S. and spent over a thousand nights camping

  • Guatemala (worked at Fina Ixobel)

  • Costa Rica (3x)

  • Belize

  • Honduras (diving in Utila)

  • Brazil (for work several times)

  • Laos (amazing cave trip)

  • New Zealand (lived in the south Island for a year and have been back several times to kayak, hike, bike, and fly)
