My Piano Music

My Piano Music

An improvisational, creative, spiritual endeavor

I've played many instruments, with most of my training being focused on jazz trumpet. My trumpet teacher used to play the piano to demonstrate jazz rhythms to me. And interestingly enough, that's the instrument that stuck. I've had very little training other than that, but I really enjoy the piano. Here's an improv piece that was recorded a few years ago. I asked my audience to give me a list of emotions, which I wrote up on a board in the order that they mentioned the emotion... Then I just played.

Go ahead and LISTEN.

If you'd like to guess at the emotions that were listed, send me an e-mail and I'll let you know how our lists compare.
