Six Secrets of Collaboration
Turning Conflict into Creative Joint-Problem Solving
In this interactive session, participants will learn how to move through conflict effectively. We will look at people's current approaches to persuasion and conflict, and then introduce and practice specific communication tools based on the work of the Harvard Negotiation Project and the Collaborative Way. We will also discuss the neurobiology behind why these patterns occur across cultures and what we can do to manage ourselves in situations where strong opinions, high emotions, and identity issues get in the way of achieving successful outcomes. Participants will walk away with new communication and facilitation skills, as well as new perspectives on how to shape team cultures.
